Grantee Spotlight: Raven George "Creek to Canvas: Creativity Flows Like Water"

We’re proud to highlight Raven George, one of our Trenton Creative Network Grant recipients, and her inspiring community art project, Creek to Canvas: Creativity Flows Like Water.

This project is transforming Roberto Clemente Park into a vibrant creative hub through a series of interactive workshops, eco-inspired artmaking sessions, and a collaborative mural rooted in community voice and environmental awareness.

Most recently, Raven hosted the Sow, Grow, & Sustain workshop, where participants engaged in hands-on learning about sustainable practices, planting techniques, and the power of community gardening. Blending environmental education with artistic expression, the workshop exemplified how creativity can nurture both the land and the people who care for it.
