What's happening?

Isles is requesting proposals for the design and completion of one art project located in the Creek to Canal Creative District, in Downtown Trenton.

 

UPDATE 8/2: The Wood Street mural was awarded to an artist - only Perry Street mural proposals should be submitted.

 

The deadline to apply was extended to 8/15.

 

Where will the murals be located?

• One mural will be created on a property on Wood Street that is owned by Isles-CAPC Housing, LLC, which is comprised of Isles, Inc. (Isles) and Community Asset Preservation Corporation (CAPC)

• A free-standing structure located on a vacant lot in Downtown owned by the City of Trenton

 

Goals

• Community visioning or active participation in the completion of the concept are encouraged to apply!

• Create public art that reflects the spirit of the Trenton community

• Demonstrate artistic excellence while completing this project on time and within budget

 

Budget

• Location 1: Wood Street Wall Mural: The estimated total project budget is $9,000- $12,000

• Location 2: Perry Street Freestanding Mural: The estimated total project budget is $1,500-$2,000

 

Deadline for submissions is August 13, 2021 by 5:00 pm, EST
