REFLECTING TRENTON

With the help of six local artists, Reflecting Trenton highlights locations of importance in Downtown Trenton that are vacant, frequently overlooked, or no longer exist.

This hybrid research and art project combines vintage photography from the Trentoniana archives and local art on large 4 ft x 6ft vinyl posters, placed temporarily at six locations in Downtown Trenton. Artists were commissioned to create custom artworks, using vintage photographs of specific Downtown locations through digital collage, editing, and other methods.

This project was coordinated by Isles and was made possible by a grant from the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this project do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities or the New Jersey Council for the Humanities.

A reflection of Trenton's growth, creativity, and potential.
